Why is Rolex so expensive? Is there any way we can buy a cheaper one?

Hello guys once again I am sorry for replying late to you queries as you all know I am always working so sometimes it gets hard for me to come every day. But I keep on coming on and off to share valuable information about brands and accessories with you.

So here I am once again, well a lot of people has been asking me lately that “Why is Rolex so expensive? Is there any way we can buy a cheaper one?”

So guys you have two questions. I will try to answer both.

The short answer why Rolex is expensive is because they can get away with it, while still people buys the stuff.

Some companies just reach a level of brand awareness that provides them a lot of opportunities to sell their products at the price level they want, because they are in such a high demand that there is always a request for them,

This means in practical terms, that they can hike up the prices of their watches as high as they can without adversely affecting their sales. As long as the situation stays like this, it is a win-win. And in fact they are doing just that.

The prices of Rolex models are constantly on the rise, and the supply is kept artificially low so to not oversaturate the market. With that, I am telling you that Rolex – which manufactures around one million watches per year – COULD manufacture much more watches then it does, but avoids to do so just because their strategy is different.

This is the reason why their prices are so high – in marketing terms, but there is the other half of the apple.

The reason why the prices are high, in horology terms, is because Rolex watches are awesomely manufactured timepieces which are made from the best materials and incorporate the most advanced research on materials, which Rolex has spent a load of money on.

In fact Rolex has been in the forefront of the development of the aiutomatic calibers as we know them today – and has built its immense fortune on this issue, along with the development of the modern waterproof watches. In the beginning, the watch buyers were very suspicious of an “automatic” watch, so much that other maisons apart from Rolex had to include a power reserve indicator to show the amount of juice remaining ion the watch.

These advances in technology – which happened in a timeframe from the 1920s onwards – did not come cheap. So Rolex watches were, and are, costly., and in a way, rightly so. When you buy a Rolex you buy all of this – plus the fame and recognition of the brand.

Now let’s pass to the second part of your question.

Can you buy something at a cheaper price? And the answer is yes.

The first way to do that is like I always say in all my posts is to get along with the site providing exact replica or the knock off brands. The oldest and the highest rating websites are Purse Valley Factory and Perfect Watch. They make exactly the same products like the real ones because these factories are also making products for all big designer products as it’s being outsourced to them because of cheap labor.

The next best way is to buy Tudor is the Rolex “junior” line. It used to be a good quality watch which used stock ebauches from ETA – that is, movements manufactured by a third party, that is, ETA, which is possibly the largest Swiss manufacurer of movements there is.

What you did buy was a sort of less costly Rolex, which enjoyed the same craftmanship of its bigger brother while did not have the same “engine”. But what happened recently?

ETA, which is part of the Swatch Group, has announced it is going to stop supplying movements to any company which is not part of the Swatch group. This meant that companies had to find other manufacturers for their movements – and the Rolex group has decided to work with other suppliers to create an in-house movement which is specific for Tudor – and one of the first results debuted in the (lovely) Tudor Heritage Black Bay

The movement is called MT5602.

There are several technical refinements which stem directly from Rolex experience. The balance wheel has an inertial system , which, coupled with the silicon balance spring, makes the watch much more precise. The silicon parts, in which Rolex is an expert, improve significantly the resistance of the watch to magnetic field – and as you know, we are literally surrounded by magnetic fields, starting from our mobile phones.

All of this comes in a neat little package which costs around half of what its bigger brother does – rendering its buying almost irresistible. If I were you, I would definitely think about buying one. At the current trends, I personally expect Tudor prices to rise steadily, as well as the evaluations of second wrist watches from Tudor, as the brand takes the former place of Rolexas a tool watch, while Rolex moves into the territories(and prices) of haute horlogerie.

Well, so you want something which is less costly than a Tudor? There is a solution as well.

As you probably know, there are two solutions if you want something Rolex-like but you cannot afford to splurge money on it.

Buy a fake.

A good, AAA fake from the oldest and the best suppliers Perfect Watch is 600 USD.

As a note to my readers, I mostly write about high-end and luxury objects, like watches, handbags and shoes: so if you are interested in those fields, be sure to check my other answers and follow me.

Is it Worth Buying Replica Rolex Explorer II

The Rolex Explorer II is one of the most durable and practical watches both for expeditions and everyday wear.

We’ll talk about the latest model, the ref 216570, which was launched in 2011. Here’s why it’s worth getting as your first Rolex:

1. It pays homage to the original Rolex Explorer II ‘Orange Hand’ 1655 (even though it’s not a tribute watch). Reference 216570 was launched in 2011 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Rolex Explorer II. They brought back the orange 24-hour hand as a homage to the original Reference 1655 “Freccione” model from the 1970s (pictured above, at left).

The current Explorer 216570 looks very modern, even avant-garde.

2. It comes in wearable and legible designs.

It has a lacquer finish for the white dial, and a satin finish for the black one. Both bring out the Chromalight-coated markers, hands, and 24-hour orange hand. These features make it ideal for spending long periods in the dark (such as when hiking or spelunking), but it looks casual enough for everyday use.

3. It comes with several improvements for the bracelent and movement.

Its calibre, the 3187, was the first movement specifically developed for the Explorer range.

With the addition of Paraflex shock absorbers, it offers greater resistance to shocks and extreme conditions, and is an improvement from the previous calibre 3186, which still runs the GMT-Master II range.

It also has solid centre links and clasp, and features the Easylink system exclusive to Rolex. It allows the wearer to extend the last link by 5mm for greater comfort.

4. You can use it as a solar compass!

And like a true adventure watch, it doesn’t only tell time. The Rolex Explorer II (and the GMT-Master II) can be used as a solar compass to help orient the wearer. Simply point the hour hand towards the sun while you hold the watch horizontally.

The orange 24-hour hand will indicate the north in the northern hemisphere, and south in the southern hemisphere. Both the regular and 24-hour display must be set to local time.

Conclusion:

So well I don’t think so I have to explain anything or even tell that It’s absolutely worth it to buy a Rolex Explorer II both replica or original is fine. Like I always say in my posts that if you want to waste your money buying original while you can have the same quality in just a fraction of price. Choice is yours but the watch is absolutely worth it.

Will the Rolex Explorer II make a good first watch?

Well in my opinion as being a frequent Rolex Watch user, any Rolex Watch you buy will make you fell in love with Rolex as I think that Rolex is undoubtedly one of the best watch companies in the world. Rolex Explorer II will undoubtedly will make a good first watch, It is the latest model and I am also using it right now I ordered it from the Perfect Watch.

Lets Discuss the amazing features of this watch:

The watch is made with the very fine Oyster Steel that belongs to the 904L steel family, superalloys most commonly used in high-technology and in the aerospace and chemical industries, where maximum resistance to corrosion is essential. Oystersteel is extremely resistant, offers an exceptional finish once polished and maintains its beauty even in the harshest environments.

BLACK DIAL

On the black-dial version of the Explorer II, the black base of the hands blend with the dial to create a “phantom” effect in which they seem to float over the dial – a nod to the 1971 model.

THE OYSTER BRACELET

The Oyster bracelet is a perfect alchemy of form and function, aesthetics and technology, designed to be both robust and comfortable. It is equipped with an Oysterlock folding clasp, which prevents accidental opening and the Easylink comfort extension link, also exclusive to Rolex. This ingenious system allows the wearer to increase the bracelet length by approximately 5 mm, providing additional comfort in any circumstance.

3187 MOVEMENT

The Explorer II is equipped with calibre 3187, a self-winding mechanical movement entirely developed and manufactured by Rolex. In addition to the conventional hour, minute and seconds hands, it features a 24-hour hand to display a second time zone. The 3187 is fitted with a Parachrom hairspring and Paraflex shock absorbers, offering greater resistance to shocks and to extreme conditions. Like all Rolex Perpetual movements, the 3187 is a certified Swiss chronometer, a designation reserved for high-precision watches that have successfully passed the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC) tests. Its architecture, in common with all Oyster watch movements, makes it singularly reliable.

24-HOUR BEZEL

The Explorer II is equipped with an additional 24-hour display; a dedicated hand circles the dial in 24 hours rather than the usual 12, pointing to a fixed bezel with 24 hour graduations. This function enables the wearer to distinguish the hours of the day from the hours of the night, an essential feature for those who venture into environments where darkness reigns supreme – such as in the depths of caves, or where the sun never sets – like the polar regions in summer.

Conclusion:

Now first of all I will tell you the reason if why I bought my Rolex Watches from Purse Valley Factory or Perfect Watches is because there are many people who can influence with these high end products because most of us are middle class or lower middle class people so it puts a dent in our budget if we were to buy these product. Even if you are very rich these high end brands now a days have outsourced their products to be made in Factories such as Purse Valley as it is very feasible they save a lot of money and stress is also shared. So these Factories once they make for them have lots of access stock which is as good as the real product the only difference is the one is going out from the front door and one is going from the back door. Quality is exactly the same but prices have huge difference. See Pic Below and you will understand what I mean.

ROLEX EXPLORER II costs $8100.00

ROLEX EXPLORER II cost only $736.82

Quality is almost the same as you can see, there services are awesome I myself ordered from them so many times it mere takes only 4 days and the product is delivered to you and after sales services are also awesome.
